Shire Productions Executive Producer, Ellery Alexis, announced in early 2021 that Sandra De Sousa is confirmed to play leading roles in two upcoming projects. As 'Sheriff Madeline Bruce' in the Musical Drama, "Redemption Song" and 'Belle Demelo' in the Romance, Sci-Fi, Thriller "Something Beautiful" and the team are very excited to have her on board! Shooting begins in 2022 and 2024 respectively.
Sandra just recently wrapped on the comedy TV Series "SuperZeroes" in which three 'average' Superheroes seek therapy for their very unusual and challenging superpowers. Sandra stars as the delightfully British and very mysterious 'tea drinking' therapist 'Dr. Petunia Pepper.' This is a cheeky and hilarious comedy set in the 1970s. and a very strong female led production, not only is a women in the title role, but the show was also executive produced by Sandra, and written and directed by talented new director - Emilia Lindgren.
In TV Show "The Cypher" Sandra heads the cast of this action thriller as 'Russian' CIA operative 'Natalya.'
The drama unfolds as a US defector gets involved with the Russian Mafia and steals 10 million
dollars from the US government. The CIA team must infiltrate the mafia to get it back.
What could possibly go wrong?
Sandra reprises her role as the very eccentric love matchmaker 'Mallory' in TV Show "Girl, Chill" written and directed by Robert Michael (Glow and Titanic: Sinking The Myths).
Sandra attends the prestigious 92nd Academy Awards Oscar Ceremony at the Dolby Theater in 2020.
Sandra plays 'Kay Riley' in TV Mini-Series “To the Bitter End: Behind Closed Doors” a private investigator and woman of faith who exposes a murderous plot. Currently showing on Amazon Prime. It premieres on Amazon UK December in 2019. It will be available on Amazon US at a later date.
In short film "Modern American Nightmare" Sandra plays supporting lead 'Kathy' in this psychological family drama. Kathy fears and confronts her brother due to his uncontrolled emotions and demonic nightmares over a family member’s death in the Iraq war. The Film has won major awards on the festival circuit:
